TutorBook Account and Data Deletion

This page explains how TutorBook users can delete their app account and associated data, including the student and parent details they entered. TutorBook is operated by Manmeet Sethi as an individual developer.

Option 1 — Reset inside the app

Open TutorBook and go to Settings → Reset. This clears your register data on the account. Uninstalling the app also stops all further local processing on your device.

Option 2 — Request deletion by email

To request full account or data deletion, email m20sethi@gmail.com with the subject TutorBook account deletion request.

After verifying the request, we will delete or anonymize data associated with your TutorBook account, including where applicable:

What May Remain

Some data may be retained where necessary for legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, payment dispute, security, or compliance reasons. Payment method details are handled by Razorpay and are not stored by TutorBook. Messages already delivered to parents through WhatsApp cannot be recalled.

Subscriptions

If you have an active paid subscription, please mention it in your email. Account deletion does not automatically cancel any active mandate or subscription with a payment provider. We will guide you on the correct cancellation steps if needed.

Response Time

We aim to acknowledge deletion requests within 7 business days. Completion time may vary depending on verification, active subscriptions, legal retention requirements, or payment dispute requirements.
